About eRotary Coastal

eRotary Coastal is an online meeting environment for active Rotarians as well as visiting Rotarians centered around the issues and topics associated with living and working in coastal communities.  Our online format allows Rotarians from any location across the world to meet and share information and ideas unfettered by the limitations of time and space. Otherwise, our eRotary Coastal club operates in concert  with the principles and structure of Rotary meaning that our club meets regularly, carries out service projects, supports The Rotary Foundation, and socializes with other Rotarians. The main difference is in the singular focus of our club and the online environment where we meet.

HOW DOES Our E-CLUB OPERATE?

Our E-club members "show up" for live meetings at a regularly-scheduled date and time.  Meetings follow the order of all Rotary meetings and include annoucements and updates followed by a presenation that is introduced by the Rotarian of the Day.  All meetings are archieved on the website and can be viewed at will, however attending the live meeting is encouraged as a major part of being a Rotarian is the opportunuty to network and interact with other Rotarians. Presentations are also published to You Tube for later viewing.

Smaller group meetings such as board and committee meetings are facilitated by online meeting tools that may include a variety of tools including Google Hangouts, Facetime, Skype or other widely available technologies.  Meetings of this type typically are not recorded nor published for later viewing.

MAKEUP MEETINGS

As Rotarians, we commit to regular attendance and participation in our clubs. This includes visiting other clubs or catching up on something that we had to miss for good cause. Our online format makes it easy for eRotary Coastal members or visiting Rotarians to attend a meeting and recieve credit.
