Bayou Lafourche Cleanup

Wednesday, March 23, 2016

Rotary E-Club 6200 members joined the ranks of other concerned citizens on March 12 as we worked to pickup accumulated debris from the banks of Bayou Lafourche, one of the primary sources of marsh-building sediment for coastal Louisiana.

More than 5,000 pounds of debris was collected including many recyclables.

According to E-Club President, Ginger Vann, “Major waterways like Bayou Lafourche are critical pieces in the coastal restoration puzzle. This is hands-on restoration, they type that Rotarians love the best.”
